Angle grinder, coloured vinyl, silicone

As a tribute to FM Einheit, industrial music pioneer, PORN-NOISE displays a hybrid mating between a virile machine and a virgin icon. Punk energy merges with a melodic overtone in a musical coitus both ironic and threatening.
The electric angle grinder is autopsied, and its steel instrument replaced by a coloured vinyl in a kitsch way.
Enraged noise pop-anesthetized, infernal machine emasculated with a pink 45 rpm record… A nod to industrial music sound aggressions, immediately followed by the tangy wind of pop.

"Simulacres Série" consists in accumulating moving light and layering sounds, music, and sounds, sometimes simultaneously.
Each of the 3 videos - "FRAGS", "HOPIS", "PARTS" - takes up an original movie : 71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance (M. Haneke, 1995), Koyaanisqatsi : Life Out of Balance (G. Reggio, 1982), The Elementary Particles (O. Roehler, 2006).
These movies were chosen from their subjects - fragmentation, time, chance, accident- but also from their formal characteristics : colorimetry, acoustics...

From image-motion to light / from sound film to white noise,
The recomposition of this matrix, manipulated through the technological prism, veils a set of veils that can only veil other veils.
The videos from "Simulacres Série" can be presented on their own, or as an installation (triptych).

AUSTRAL
Sound, Memory and Flesh

Austral is a mixed work (electronic and video) for ensemble, originally composed for "Laborintus" (contemporary ensemble). 
This creation was previously imagined in its opening to be re-interpreted by other musical aesthetics. 



Austral is a pretext, a vector. 

My main interest is to deal directly with the sounds, music, and "noises" produced by musicians : the specific archetypes of their own training (amateur or professional). 

This piece calls an individual memory, just as a collective memory. 

My visual and musical work is based on a pre-existing object and its supports (vinyl, cd, tape, Hertz ...) or on a process of generation -and degeneration- of a sound or visual object (body). Austral gives me an access to memory and its biological artifacts, still privileging an exchange relationship with individuals. 



Austral will revolve around the sequences of a video and electronic composition, showing a series of landscapes and cityscapes collected during a trip through the Argentine and Chilean borders, in 2009. 



The final composition will be achieved according to the trends and the potential of the group that would have gone through collective improvisations.
